Getting here:
By Road – Use the postcode BN22 7AR. We are located on Royal Parade to the East of the pier. We stand out from our neighbours (as the black building) so hopefully, you can’t miss us. If you have any problems finding us please call reception and they will assist with local directions.
By Rail – Eastbourne train station is only a short taxi ride to the hotel (taxi rank outside the station to the right) or a 1 mile (approx. 20 minute) walk. Eastbourne has direct routes to London Victoria (1h 30 mins), Gatwick Airport (55 mins) and Brighton (40 mins).
Checking in and out:
You can check in from 3pm at Port, however, you’re more than welcome to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage and explore Eastbourne or have a meal or drink in the hotel. The team will be on hand to help you when you arrive.
Check out is by 11am. We ask that you leave your room by this time, but please enjoy the surroundings all day. We can’t guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but stick around and let us know your plans and we will try our best on the day.
Accessibility:
Regrettably, as Port Eastbourne was the combination and conversion of old Victorian houses, the hotel is not accessible by ramp or wheelchair. As there is no lift in the building, the bedrooms are not wheelchair accessible.
Parking:
If travelling to us by car you can purchase a parking voucher from reception for £2.20. This will cover you for a whole day until 11am the next morning. These vouchers are subject to availability, as they are issued to us by the Council for the same cost. This will be provided when you check in. This voucher permits you to park on the road to the front of the hotel but you must ensure you park within the correct zone that corresponds with the voucher. We are not responsible for any voucher that has been used incorrectly. Parking can not be reserved and the hotel is not responsible for the parking this is public parking.
Cancellation:
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for Flexible Room rates. Non-refundable rates are not refundable or changeable. Please email hello@stayatport.com if you need to amend your stay.
Payments:
We will only be accepting card payments at Port Hotel. Regrettably, we do not accept American Express card payments. We do not accept cash.
Online availability:
The availability for Port Eastbourne is shown online on our Book Now button is live and totally up-to-date. If you can’t find the date you’re after, please email hello@stayatport.com so we can add you to our waiting list.
Does the rate include breakfast?
Our rates are Room only or with breakfast included.
However you can add breakfast as an ‘Enhance Your Stay’ option in the booking process.
The breakfast addition is £15.00 per person and includes:
· Unlimited continental breakfast
· Unlimited hot drink of your choice
· Unlimited cold juice of your choice
Breakfast is served from 7.30am - 10.30am.
Are dogs welcome at Port?
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Port Eastbourne. Please refer to our Terms for the clearly explained T&C’s concerning dogs.
We only allow Medium or Small dogs as we cannot accommodate larger dogs comfortably. For information, a Medium / Small dog weighs under 15 kgs / 33 lbs. We may ask the breed of your dog when you make a room reservation as we do not allow dogs that shed as we’re trying to look after Port for the comfort of all guests.
Dogs are welcome (at management’s discretion) in our rooms for a charge so please call us or email us directly, alternatively you can add a Dog to your booking on our website.
So as to ensure that we will not impact the experience for all our guests we may restrict the number of dogs visiting the hotel at one time.
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the hotel. Resident dogs are welcome everywhere in the hotel, and in the Restaurant and Bar area and guests with dogs will be seated at the discretion of management to ensure we don’t have dogs that don’t like each other seated together. Dogs must be on leads at all times in all public areas and supervised at all times and owners are responsible for their dog and the dog's behaviour.
In the instance of any damages caused by a guest dog to the property, then we will regrettably have to charge the guest for such damages.
Non-resident dogs are welcome.
Do you have family rooms?
The whole family is welcome at Port. We have especially suited family rooms at Port as noted above. We can accommodate baby cots (free of charge), subject to availability. Please email hello@stayatport.com to make arrangements should you require this service.
Outside guests in bedrooms:
Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight in the rooms. Visitors to hotel rooms will only permitted at the discretion of management.
Is there a dress code?
We’ll never tell you what to wear. Our restaurant and living room is an informal place, so dress in whatever makes you happy and comfortable.
What are your food service times?
We serve a Brunch menu from 7.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Weekdays brunch is served until 12pm.

These items are not for sale - should you take anything you will be charged a replacement cost as listed. Can I host a private event at Port?
Port is a great place to have a get-together, such as a Christmas party or intimate wedding. Please contact management to discuss your requirements so we can try to accommodate your request. Please email hello@stayatport.com to enquire if you wish to have an event at Port.
Can I use Port for a pop-up restaurant?
We are open to the idea of pop-up restaurants at Port and welcome collaboration with local businesses with an aligned outlook and approach. Please contact the team with your proposal hello@stayatport.com .
What is your smoking policy?
Consistent with British Legislation, it is illegal to smoke inside the building at Port. Please do not smoke anything (including normal and electronic cigarettes) either inside the hotel public areas or in the bedrooms.
Anyone found smoking will immediately be fined £200.00 and management reserve the right to terminate their stay.
There will however be a designated smoking area clearly marked on the outside terrace.

All taxi companies are dog friendly. But please mention at the time of booking that you’ll wish to travel with a dog is as some of the individual drivers won’t take dogs.
Can I hire a bike to get around Eastbourne?
Bikes can be hired from App-bike with locations along the seafront and in the town centre. Similar to Boris bikes, simply download their app to hire, prices start from £2.50 per hour.
