Cocktails & Collage with Maja Jones at Port Hotel
The second ‘Cocktails and Collage’ evening takes place on Wednesday 8th November at Port Hotel.
The theme set is ‘What If? Creating A World Without Barricades, Borders and Bureaucracy.’ and is inspired by Jesse Darling’s thought provoking Turner Prize-nominated work at Towner Art Gallery, in which he “skilfully expresses the messy reality of life, exposing the world’s underlying fragility.”
At this collage evening, you are invited to create a world without the constraints of the 3 Bs mentioned. You can go as imaginative, surreal, and fictional as you like. Or you can use this opportunity to collage a world that reflects your values, beliefs and the changes you aspire to see. What would that world look like? This is a perfect opportunity to be a dreamer while laying the foundation for the world you aspire to witness. It’s possible that the elements of this world already exist within your community. Could this be an occasion to celebrate and amplify the strengths of your community?
Anyone can have a go - that’s the beauty of collage. The first event was a sell-out success with creativity, conversation and cocktails in full flow.
What's included in collage sessions?
Lots of inspiring materials to fuel your creativity - think magazine tears, colours, patterns, type, words - everything needed to collage and create.
Please note that the drinks are not included in the ticket price.
